An update for our Leaping through the Lily Pads:
10 students already know more than 100 words!

As part of I Love to Read month, I have asked some of former students to stop by and read to my current kindergarteners.  I can't wait to hear what great readers they have become :-)

Valentine's Day!  Thank you to Jack M., Izzy, and Jake's moms for coming in to help us celebrate.  Also, thanks to the families who supplied our ice cream sundae treats!

Our class was chosen to be a Reading First classroom by Wells Fargo.  Mr. Thompson comes into our room once a week and reads us a book, and then he donates that book to our classroom.  We will have 10 new books when he is done reading to us.  Thank you Mr. Thompson and Wells Fargo!!

We are now using BUILD for part of our math each day.  The students get about 20 minutes at one station each day.  By the end of the week, they have done everything! 

Our class predicted that Phil would not see his shadow - I think we were just wishing for an early spring!!  I guess we will be having 6 more weeks of winter anyway ;-)
